The eighth edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) is all set to kick-off from August 18 onwards. As many as 33 matches will be played in the tournament with all six teams featuring in ten round-robin games each.
All matches will be played behind closed doors in Trinidad and Tobago. The Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba will host the first 23 games including the knockouts, while the last ten matches will be held at Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain.
The Warriors ended up runners’ up in the last edition of the CPL as Barbados Tridents emerged victorious for the second time in the history of the tournament.
T20 veterans Ross Taylor and Imran Tahir, along with BBL sensation Chris Green, star in the overseas lineup of Guyana Amazon Warriors.
Marquee West Indian talents in the Warriors’ lineup include Nicholas Pooran, Shimron Hetmyer, Keemo Paul, and Sherfane Rutherford.
