When it comes to cricket, former legendary skipper MS Dhoni has a huge fan following among all cricketers. Time and again, there have been instances where fans crossed all limits to get a glimpse of their hero. In the same light, another incident stormed the internet and made all aware of Dhoni’s insane fan following.
A superfan from Haryana named Ajay Gill walked 1436 km to reach Ranchi and to see a glimpse of his hero. He completed his journey in 18 days. It has to be noted that it was the second incident of Gill walking on foot to see Dhoni in the last three months.
As per reports, not only Dhoni met his fan with a full zeal, but he even invited him to his farmhouse and gave him an autograph.
Gill’s staying arrangements were also made by Dhoni inside his farmhouse. To send him home safely, the veteran stumper also arranged a flight ticket for him.
Talking about the conversation that took place between the two, Ajay told MSD that he wished to represent India one day and that he had been playing cricket at his hometown. But he stopped playing the game after Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket.
However, he has now decided to resume playing after taking the blessings from his hero.
Talking about Dhoni on the professional front, he was last seen as a mentor of Team India in the T20 World Cup 2021. And earlier this year, he led his IPL franchise – Chennai Super Kings (CSK) – to their fourth title.
