India pacer Mohammed Siraj recreated a famous celebration of renowned footballer Cristiano Ronaldo after dismissing Shai Hope in the first ODI of the three-match series against West Indies on Sunday.
Siraj, who bowled a maiden in the first over of the match, was smashed for back to back boundaries through the off-side by Hope in the second and third delivery of his next over. But the right-arm seamer came back strongly in the next delivery, inducing an error from the Windies opener.
The right-hander batter once again went for a drive, however, the movement off the pitch brought about his downfall this time. The ball took the inside edge of his bat and went on to hit the stumps. India got an early breakthrough after opting to bowl first as Hope departed for just 8.
Siraj unfurled Ronaldo’s ‘Siuu’ celebration, which once again caught the attention of fans on social media.

‘Siuu’ in Spanish means “Yes” and ever since Ronaldo started doing this celebration from his time at Real Madrid, it became a global sensation. A lot of people around the world, including some top sports stars, often emulate Ronaldo’s celebration and Siraj is the latest addition to it.
