The stump-mic chatter between the Indian players is not a new thing for fans. Often Indian stars entertain their admirers with conversations that get caught on the stump-mic. The trend continued in the ongoing ODI series against West Indies.
In the three-match series opener, the chat between captain Rohit Sharma, former skipper Virat Kohli, and wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant caught everyone’s attention when Rohit opted for a successful review upon Kohli’s suggestion.
However, on some occasions, the stump-mic also provides the audience with an extra dose of entertainment. Something similar happened in the recently-concluded second ODI in Ahmedabad. In the game, Rohit came near the mic multiple times to pass on the instructions to his teammates. During one such moment, the Mumbaikar was caught yelling at Yuzvendra Chahal.
Rohit was setting the field and looked irritated with the speed at which Chahal was running. The Indian captain was heard saying, “Kya hua tereko? Bhaag kyun nahi raha hai theek se? Chal udhar bhaag (What happened to you? Why aren’t you running properly? Go and field there).

In the match, after being put to bat first, India posted 237/9 in their allotted 50 overs. On a challenging track, Suryakumar Yadav and KL Rahul made valuable contributions to give something to their bowlers to defend. While Yadav scored a brilliant 64 off 83 balls, Rahul got run-out one short of his half-century.
In reply, the visitors got bundled out for a mere 193 in 46 overs to lose the match by 44 runs. Shamarh Brooks, with 44 off 64 balls, was their top scorer. Indian pacer Prasidh Krishna was the star of the night. He bagged four wickets for just 12 runs in nine overs, including three maidens.
