The mega-auction for the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 saw many star cricketers finding their new teams. Notably, several players were neither retained nor bought back by their old franchises during the two-day bidding event held earlier in February this year. As a result, these players found a new home for the fifteenth season of the cash-rich league.

Due to the new teams, quite a few players have not found their exact rhythm when it comes to providing impactful performances. However, according to veteran cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle, two players look most settled in their new side.

Bhogle has named fast bowler Umesh Yadav and wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik as players who are doing an excellent job for their new franchise. While Umesh has returned in grand style to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Karthik has provided some high-quality performances for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

Umesh has taken nine wickets so far in the tournament and is positioned at the top spot amongst the leading wicket-takers.

On the other hand, Karthik has scored 90 runs in 4 matches at a phenomenal strike rate of 204.54.

“I have two go with two names here, first is, of course, Dinesh Karthik goes back to RCB, and he is finishing like he has not gone anywhere, and the second is Umesh Yadav at KKR,” Bhogle said while speaking in a talk show at Cricbuzz.

“I know he has been at KKR gone back, returned, and that’s the nature in IPL cricket, but Umesh Yadav and Dinesh Karthik, I am very happy with those two choices,” added Bhogle.
