India’s stand-in captain Jasprit Bumrah is having a great time in the ongoing fifth Test against England at Edgbaston in Birmingham.
Bumrah first shocked the cricketing world by breaking Brian Lara’s record of hitting most runs in a Test match over when he smacked Stuart Broad for 35 runs on Day 2 of the match. The Indian pacer then came back with a stunning spell with the ball, removing the first three English wickets.
Bumrah continued the momentum on Day 3, only this time he displayed his tremendous fielding skills right after dropping a sitter to get rid of his counterpart Ben Stokes. Notably, Stokes and Jonny Bairstow made a good start for England as the duo scored briskly, putting pressure on the visitors.
Stokes was clearly riding his luck as his catch was first dropped by Shardul Thakur and then by Bumrah. It all happened on the third ball of the 38th over when Stokes tried to clear the mid-off but ended up giving an easy catch to Bumrah, but the Indian skipper dropped an easy catch.
However, the situation changed dramatically as on the very next delivery, the English skipper again went for a glory shot to clear the mid-off. It seemed that the red cherry would easily go towards the boundary, but Bumrah had some other plans. Bumrah dived to his left and managed to pluck the blinder to get rid of Stokes.

A pretty special catch. It's been an enthralling morning.

After losing Stokes, Bairstow exhibited his explosive avatar as he took Indian bowlers to the cleaners, hitting them all around the park. The right-handed batter quickly reached 91* off 113 deliveries with the help of 12 fours and a couple of sixes as England managed to score 200/6 in 45.3 overs at lunch on Day 3. Along with the Yorkshire star, wicketkeeper Sam Billings was batting on 7 as the hosts trail India by 216 runs.
