Team India met Hong Kong in their second game of the ongoing Asia Cup 2022 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday. The Rohit Sharma-led side dominated the proceedings, handing Hong Kong a defeat by 40 runs and sealing their berth in the Super-4 stage of the multi-team tournament.

After being asked to bat first, the Men in Blue piled on a humungous 192/2 on the board, with Virat Kohli (59*) and Suryakumar Yadav (68*) coming out on top in the Group A fixture.

Though initially, Hong Kong’s bowlers had restricted the run-flow, but Kohli and Suryakumar demolished them in the final seven overs to set up an imposing target. In response, Hong Kong managed to reach 152/5 in their assigned 20 overs, falling short of 40 runs, with Babar Hayat (41) being their top scorer.

After the match, the Hong Kong players paid a visit to the Indian dressing room. It was certainly a memorable moment for Hong Kong players as it’s not often the associate teams get to play one of the heavyweight sides like India.

In the video, the players and support staff from both teams can be seen chatting and taking pictures. Mementoes were also signed by the likes of Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar for the tourists.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has shared a video clip of the visit by Hong Kong on their official Twitter handle with a caption: “Conversations to remember, memories to cherish and lessons for the taking!
