Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), on Friday, announced their 15-member squad for the forthcoming T20 World Cup 2022, scheduled to take place in Australia from October 16 to November 13.
Sri Lanka, who recently won the Asia Cup 2022, have named Dushmantha Chameera and Lahiru Kumara in the squad, but their participation will be subject to fitness ahead of the tournament. Notably, the duo had missed the Asia Cup due to their respective injuries.
The likes of Ashen Bandara, Praveen Jayawickrama, Dinesh Chandimal, Binura Fernando and Nuwanidu Fernando have been named as players on standby, but only Bandara and Jayawickrama will travel with the main squad to Australia.
