Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif took a cheeky dig at Team India after they suffered a humiliating defeat in the 2022 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup semi-final at the hands of England in Adelaide on Thursday (November 10).
Jos Buttler & Co. chased down the target of 169 set by Rohit Sharma’s Men in Blue with no casualties and four overs to spare.
During the last edition of the T20 World Cup, Pakistan had thrashed India by 10 wickets, chasing a 152-run target. This was also Pakistan’s first win over India in a World Cup game.
England will now meet Pakistan in the 2022 T20 World Cup final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday, November 13.
Talking about all the events in his single tweet, Sharif wrote: “So, this Sunday, it’s: 152/0 vs 170/0 #T20WorldCup”.

The Babar Azam-led Pakistan reached the final after beating Kane Williamson’s New Zealand in the first semi-final at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Wednesday.
Talking about the knockout clash between India and England, captain Buttler and Alex Hales took the Indian bowling attack to the cleaners and reached the finish line in just 16 overs. Buttler remained unbeaten on 80 after facing 49 balls while ‘Player of the Match’ Hales finished on 86 off 47 deliveries.
Earlier, India riding on some fine batting display from former skipper Virat Kohli and a late surge from all-rounder Hardik Pandya posted 168/6 on the board in their allotted 20 overs, but they fell 20 runs short of the par score.
Rohit broke down in tears after the end of the game and was consoled by Team India head coach Rahul Dravid.
