Former Australian cricketer Michael Clarke has reportedly been dumped by the BCCI for Border Gavaskar Trophy after a video of his altercation with girlfriend Jade Yarborough went viral on social media.
The footage showed Yarborough accusing Clarke of infidelity and even slapping him. This incident has resulted in the BCCI taking a swift action and terminating Clarke’s commentary contract.
Clarke’s planned trip to India in February was referenced by Yarbrough in their public brawl, hinting Clarke had asked his ex-girlfriend Pip Edwards to accompany him.
“You want to send her to India with you?” Yarbrough was heard screaming in the video.
“You’re the love of my life Pip, come with me to India.”
The altercation between Clarke and Yarbrough in Noosa was filmed by a member of the public, while TV show host Karl Stefanovic tried his best to defuse the situation.
Clarke and Yarbrough were both fined by Queensland Police for creating a public nuisance after the video went viral on social media.

Clarke came out to apologize soon after the video was shared by The Daily Telegraph.
“I’m absolutely gutted I’ve put people I hold in the highest regard in this position. My actions in the lead-up to this altercation were nothing short of shameful and regrettable,” Clarke said in his statement.
“I am shattered that because of my actions I’ve drawn women of class and integrity, and my mates, into this situation.”
According to the Sydney Morning Herald and The Age, Clarke has been replaced by several former Australian cricketers in the commentary panel for the upcoming India tour, which includes four Tests and three ODIs.
