India cricketer Rishabh Pant, on Friday (February 10), took to social media to upload a couple of pictures post-surgery since he suffered a horrific accident in December last year. He was rushed to a hospital in Dehradun for first aid and then airlifted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to Mumbai for further treatment.
Pant underwent knee surgery to repair the damage from the accident in which his Mercedes car was burnt to a crisp. He was treated at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital in Mumbai and was discharged last week, and is now recuperating at home.
In the recent photos, Pant can be seen taking baby steps using crutches with his right knee in a support strap.
“One step forward, One step stronger, One step better,” the Roorkee-born captioned his post.

Several former and current cricketers reacted to Pant’s post, but the Instagram users took notice of the comment from the southpaw’s girlfriend, Isha Negi. She commented “Fighter” with a heart emoji.
There is no return date fixed for Pant, but he is set to miss the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Due to his unavailability, KS Bharat was handed his Test debut from India veteran Cheteshwar Pujara in the recently-concluded first Test of the 2023 Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia in Nagpur.

Hopefully, Pant will be back with a bang; as of now, he is busy getting better health-wise.
