Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will lock horns with Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 17th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Wednesday (April 12). Notably, both teams have registered two wins in the three they played in the tournament so far. While CSK won their last game against Mumbai Indians (MI) by seven wickets, RR defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) by 57 runs.

Ravindra Jadeja was the standout performer for the Chennai-based team in their previous encounter, as he picked three wickets and gave away just 20 runs in his quota of four overs. On the other hand, Ajinkya Rahane scored a brilliant 61 off 27 balls for CSK in the run chase as well. Meanwhile, Jos Buttler (79) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (60) shined for Rajasthan in their victory over DC. Trent Boult and Yuzvendra Chahal were the picks of the bowlers for the RR, picking up three wickets each.

Chennai currently sits at the fifth spot in the points table and will look to move up by registering a win against RR. At the same time, the Rajasthan-based team, who are on the second position of the points tally, will eye the top spot when they meet CSK on April 12.
