Young sensation Yuzvendra Chahal, who represents Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL, is the only player to represent India in chess and cricket.
In 2002, Chahal was a U-12 national chess champion. He has represented India at the Asian Youth Championship (U-12 category) in Kozhikode and U-16 India at the World Youth Chess Championship in Greece.
On February 1, 2017, the Haryana lad became the first Indian bowler to claim a five-wicket haul in T20 internationals in the third match of the series against England.
Apart from playing cricket and chess, Chahal is an avid movie buff. He has a huge crush on Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif. He drools over her smile and says that she is his dream date!
“I like Katrina a lot, her smile appeals the most to me,” Chahal was quoted saying in an interview during the Indian Premier League (IPL).
