In the ongoing game between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens on Friday, England star Harry Brook played an exceptional knock, resulting in the first century of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023.

Brook, who was acquired by SRH for a whopping INR 13.25 crore in the auction before the season, took just 55 balls to reach this impressive milestone, hitting 12 fours and 3 enormous sixes.

Notably, Brook, who had a disappointing start to the tournament, took KKR bowlers to the cleaners to smash his maiden ton in the cash-rich league.

The witter users were stunned by the performance produced by Brook on the pitch and both experts and fans alike took to social media to laud the youngster for his historic achievement.

In addition to Brook’s outstanding performance, skipper Aiden Markram played a significant role in the middle, scoring a fifty off just 26 balls. The pair put together a partnership of 72 runs from 47 balls.

Following Markram’s dismissal, the young left-handed batsman Abhishek Sharma (32 runs off 17 balls) provided excellent support to Brook, resulting in a partnership of 72 runs from 33 balls, further worsening KKR’s situation.
