In the 20th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are taking on Delhi Capitals (DC) at M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday.

Both sides are sitting in the bottom five positions in the points table. While RCB are at eighth place with one win and two defeats, the Capitals are at the last spot and are yet to open their account in the 16th season of the cash-rich league.

In the contest, DC won the toss and opted to bowl, but the decision didn’t go well, as the hosts ended up posting 174/6 in their allotted 20 overs. Former skipper Virat Kohli smashed a tremendous half-century and looked in prolific touch during his stay. Similarly, captain Faf du Plessis chipped in with a quickfire 22.

The duo took the team off to a flyer and added 42 runs in 4.4 overs before Mitchell Marsh broke the partnership courtesy of a stunning catch from Aman Khan. It all happened during the fifth over of RCB’s innings bowled by Mitchel when Du Plessis charged down the wicket with determination to have a go at the Aussie all-rounder. The former South African skipper swung his bat with force and directed the ball towards mid-wicket, where Aman was stationed.

The Indian rookie quickly moved towards his right and extended his arm to take the catch. Although the catch was challenging, Aman managed to grab the ball with his hand initially and then clutched it on his second attempt to complete the catch successfully.
