The seventh edition of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) commenced on June 12 at Coimbatore’s SNR College Cricket Ground, where the Lyca Kovai Kings faced off against the Idream Tiruppur Tamizhans.

It is worth mentioning that a total of eight teams are taking part in this tournament, engaging in 28 regular-season matches along with four playoff fixtures. In the league stage, each team will encounter every other team once in a round-robin format.

Qualifier 1 will witness a showdown between the top two teams from the league, where the winner will secure a direct spot in the final. Meanwhile, the teams finishing in third and fourth place will battle it out in the Eliminator, with the victorious team progressing to Qualifier 2 to face the losing team from Qualifier 1. Finally, the ultimate clash will take place in the tournament final between the winners of Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2.
