4) Steve Waugh (Australia)
Steve Waugh has played most Ashes games among the top five leading run scorers.
Waugh represented Australia in 45 Ashes Tests and recorded 3173 runs comprising ten centuries in the event.
5) Steve Smith (Australia)
Smith is the only active cricketer to feature in the list.
The modern-day great has 3044* runs in Ashes supported by eleven hundreds and as many fifties.
