From T Natarajan to Ravichandran Ashwin: Famous Indian players who run cricket academies

Indian pacer T Natarajan opened his own cricket academy in Salem district on Friday (June 23).

Star wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik inaugurated the ground as the chief guest.

The event was also graced by cricketers Varun Chakravarthy, Washington Sundar, actor Yogi Babu and a few other famous personalities.

This is not the first time any cricketer has started their academy. Many veteran Indian cricketers have their training institutes in various cities of India as well.

On that note here’s the list of famous cricket academies owned by popular Indian players:

1) Yusuf Pathan and Irfan Pathan

The former all-rounder siblings own Cricket Academy of Pathans (CAP) and have their centres set up in more than ten locations across India.

2) MS Dhoni

MS Dhoni Cricket Academy is a global venture that trains budding cricketers from Indian locations to countries like UAE.

3) Virender Sehwag

Sehwag runs his academy by the name Sehwag Cricket Academy and offers coaching to age groups from 6-18 across India.

4) Harbhajan Singh

Harbhajan Singh Institute of Cricket provides training to cricket enthusiasts through a tie-up with different schools.

5) Ravichandran Ashwin

The name of Ashwin’s cricket academy is Gen-Next Cricket Institute. It runs across five centres in Chennai and one each in UAE and the United Kingdom.
