The left-handed batter’s stellar performance on Day 2 of the first Test left his teammates and support staff in awe.

Opening the innings alongside captain Rohit Sharma, Jaiswal made the most of his maiden Test opportunity. Displaying exceptional cricketing skills, he went on to register his first century in Test cricket. The moment Jaiswal reached the landmark, he jubilantly took off his helmet, leapt in the air, and let out a roar of delight.

In a gesture of gratitude, Jaiswal acknowledged the Indian dressing room by bowing down. His remarkable innings gave him several reasons to celebrate, as he became the first Indian opener to score a Test century on debut away from home. Additionally, he joined the esteemed company of 17 other Indian cricketers who have achieved the feat of a debut Test hundred.

As Jaiswal walked back into the change room at the end of the day’s play, his teammates and support staff warmly received him.
