In a momentous cricketing feat, Virat Kohli marked his 29th Test century on Day 2 of the second Test match against the West Indies at Trinidad. The historic century was achieved when Kohli elegantly dispatched a boundary off Shannon Gabriel, propelling India to a score of 314/4.

This landmark ton held a deeper significance as it occurred in Kohli’s 500th international match representing India. Such a remarkable milestone served to highlight the former captain’s unwavering commitment and exemplary contribution to the game.

A notable aspect of this century was that it was Kohli’s first international ton on foreign soil since 2018, further magnifying the significance of the achievement. His previous Test century in an away series was during India’s tour of Australia in December 2018, when he showcased his batting brilliance at Perth.
