India’s commanding performance over Pakistan in Super 4 clash
On September 10, the Men in Blue posted a commendable 147/2, propelled by fifties from Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, who combined for a substantial 121-run opening partnership. Rain halted play, but when it resumed on September 11, the reserve day, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli took over, both notching centuries as India reached an imposing 356/2 in their allotted 50 overs. Rahul contributed an unbeaten 111*, while Kohli smashed an explosive 122*. In India’s bowling, Kuldeep Yadav shone brightly, claiming a splendid 5-wicket haul to dismantle Pakistan for a mere 128.

Rohit and Kohli’s splashy victory celebration
After the match, the Indian cricket team retreated to their hotel to commemorate their triumphant victory. The hotel staff orchestrated a cake-cutting ceremony to honour the Player of the Match, Kohli. Following this, Kohli, joined by Rohit, Gill, Ravindra Jadeja and other teammates, made their way straight to the hotel’s swimming pool.
A video, shared by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), captured these moments of relaxation, showcasing the players enjoying a revitalizing swim in the cool waters. The video also featured Rohit and Kohli, displaying their dance moves with enthusiasm in the pool.
