Babar Azam’s witty response to journalist’s query
In the lead-up to the ODI World Cup, Babar found himself at the center of attention when a journalist probed about the inexperience of Pakistan’s players in Indian conditions. Given that Pakistan and India have not engaged in bilateral series since 2012-13 and have had limited encounters in ICC tournaments and the Asia Cup, the journalist’s question was indeed pertinent.
The journalist asked, “What should Pakistan expect from the upcoming World Cup in India, considering almost no player from the current squad has experience of playing on Indian soil”?
However, Babar responded in a light-hearted yet intriguing manner, refusing to divulge any details regarding Pakistan’s strategy for the tournament. He stated, “As I’ve said earlier, I will not answer this question. I will respond to all the questions in the stadium when we (Pakistan) will reach there (India).”
