However, he still managed to score thirteen fifties in the tournament.

The former MI skipper was also almost 35 when IPL commenced for the first time.
He went on to register fourteen 50+ scores until his retirement from the league.
3) Michael Hussey (15)
The batting coach of CSK has recorded fifteen half-centuries after his 35th birthday.
Hussey's last appearance in IPL was in 2015.
2) Chris Gayle (17)
The Universe Boss slammed seventeen fifties after crossing 35 years of age.
Gayle played his last IPL season for Punjab Kings in 2021.

Faf du Plessis has crossed the 50-run mark eighteen times after his 35th birthday.
The 38-year-old is currently representing the RCB side in IPL 2023.
