IPL 2019: Jasprit Bumrah fires salvo at ‘Cheeku bhaiya’ Virat Kohli

Jasprit Bumrah is considered to be the best bowler in the world these days but the Indian speedster himself doesn’t think that is the case, as he is yet to pick up the wicket of the world’s best batsman, Virat Kohli.

The Mumbai Indians (MI) pacer is set to face the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) and ahead of the 12th season, Bumrah has fired a warning to his ‘Cheeku bhaiya’.

As part of the new ad campaign for Star Sports, Bumrah has shot a TV commercial ahead of the new IPL season where he is seen challenging Kohli.

“World ka best bowler? Nahin yaar. Abhi toh world ke best batsman ke dande udaana baaki hai. Aa raha hoon Cheeku bhaiya, aur iss baar aap meri team mein bhi nahin rahenge, (World’s best bowler? Not yet guys. I still have to castle the best batsman in the world. Cheeku Bhaiyya (Virat Kohli), I am coming for you, and this time you are not even in my team),” says the 25-year-old in the ad.

Bumrah and Kohli will face each other in IPL 2019 for the first time at the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru when RCB host the three-time champions MI on March 28.

A day before Bumrah’s advertisement, a similar promotional video was released as part of the same campaign where Rishabh Pant was seen challenging his ‘Guru’, MS Dhoni.
