The 12th season of world’s biggest T20 extravaganza IPL is around the corner and is set to begin on March 23.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is one of the eight teams who have never got their hands on the IPL trophy. They will therefore be desperate to win the title this time around. The RCB squad is looking quite strong for the upcoming season.
In a bid to win their maiden title, the franchise has made a lot of changes in their support staff. They have appointed Gary Kirsten as the head coach this season while Ashish Nehra will be the bowling coach. However, the former Delhi cricketer Mithun Manhas has also been added to the support staff now and he will work as the assistant coach.
According to the sports journalist Mushtaq War, Manhas has been appointed the assistant coach of RCB for the upcoming IPL season.
Mushtaq congratulated Manhas over the appointment and the latter too acknowledged the journalist with a ‘Thank You’ tweet.
Thanks a lot Mushtaq Sahib !!

Mithun has previously played for Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Pune Warriors India (PWI) and Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) in the IPL.
He moved to the Kings XI Punjab franchise in 2017 as an assistant coach. The 39-year-old has a fair bit of experience in coaching and will look to make the most of it during his time with the RCB. Under Mithun’s guidance, the KXIP performed decently last year and now it will be interesting to see how RCB fares under his watchful eyes in the IPL 2019.
