Krunal (3/28 in 4 overs) first dismissed Colin Munro (12), Daryl Mitchell (1) in the same over and then skipper Kane Williamson (20) to peg the Black Caps back. However, Colin de Grandhomme counter-attacked, scoring a blistering 50 off 28 balls, adding 77 runs with Ross Taylor (42 off 36 balls) for the fifth wicket.
However, what was kept fans wondering through the match was Rohit’s jersey number.
Rohit usually wears No. 45 jersey. But on Friday at the Eden Park, Rohit was wearing jersey number 59 with the name on his back wrapped up. The jersey that Rohit wore actually belongs to his teammate Vijay Shankar.
