Over the years, wicket-keepers have used their innate athleticism to take plenty of spectacular catches behind the stumps. Their gloves also give them a distinct advantage with respect to the possibilities of pulling off catches that might seem impossible for a regular fielder. And Rajasthan Royals wicketkeeper Jos Buttler grabbed one of such catches to dismiss the Kings XI Punjab opener KL Rahul during the fourth match of the IPL 2019.
It was in the first over of the match. Rahul had already scored a boundary off a Dhawal Kulkarni over and looked rock solid. However, his double mind saw his dismissal. He was set to hit a backfoot punch but withdrew from his shot at the last moment.
Kahul ended up edging the moving ball, meanwhile, Buttler pulled off a sensational catch as the ball was dying at Steve Smith, who was fielding at the first slip.
