For their opening match of the tournament, India will face South Africa on June 5 at The Rose Bowl in Southampton. Virat Kohli will lead team India for the first time in the World Cup. Kohli was a member of the champion squad who won the ICC World Cup 2011 under Dhoni’s captaincy.
With cricket fever at its peak, Gully Boy’s Divine is back with his latest rap to cheer team India. The “SockThem” anthem features Indian skipper Virat Kohli, along with Olympic gold medalist Mary Kom.
For the inspiration anthem, Divine collaborated with brand PUMA. Back in 2017, Virat Kohli signed a multi-year endorsement deal worth INR 110 crore with the company.
The anthem is choreographed by Kings United, the recent winners of ‘World of Dance’.
