India will look to strengthen their top position in the ICC Test Rankings when they take on West Indies in the forthcoming two-match Test series.
The series which starts from August 22 will be a part of the ICC World Test Championship.
Wriddhiman Saha will rejoin the Indian team after a gap of more than a year, the BCCI announced on Sunday.
Saha last played in the first Test against South Africa in Cape Town in January 2018, after which he was ruled out for the rest of the series with a shoulder injury for which he eventually underwent surgery last August.
Jasprit Bumrah has been rested for the limited-overs series against the Windies but has been named in the Test squad alongside Mohammed Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Ishant Sharma.
The selectors have also picked Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Kuldeep Yadav as the spinners for the Test series.
