The Big Bash League (BBL) is known for producing the most thrilling and exciting moments in cricket. A similar instance happened in the second match played between Sydney Sixers (SYS) and Perth Scorchers (PRS) at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Wednesday.
Sixers’ wicketkeeper-batsman Josh Philippe kicked-off his BBL campaign with a bang. Chasing the low total of 131, Philippe hammered unbeaten 81 off 44 balls at a mind-blowing strike-rate of 184.09.
The eye-grabbing moment came when Philippe finished the match by sending the ball on the roof of the stadium.
The 22-year old smashed the delivery bowled by Kane Richardson into deep mid-wicket. He timed the ball so perfectly that it landed on the roof of the SCG stadium.

During his knock, Philippe hit 11 boundaries and three maximums. And the right-hander will be happy with his performance as he was dropped from the Sheffield Shield and the Marsh One-Day Cup tournament as well.
Earlier, in the match, Sixers won the toss and decided to bowl first. With the disciplined bowling effort, they restricted the Scorchers to 131.
In response, Sixers defeated Scorchers and won their opening game of BBL |9 by eight wickets.
