Afghanistan’s sensational spinner Rashid Khan is currently playing in Big Bash League (BBL) for Adelaide Strikers and has scalped 16 wickets in 10 matches. He is at the third spot in the leading wicket-takers list.
Apart from the sharp bowling, Rashid is also a tremendous fielder, and on many occasions, the leggy has showcased incredible fielding skills. One such incident happened in the match against Brisbane Heat when the right-armer dismissed Chris Lynn by taking an unbelievable catch.
During the 8th over of Heat innings, Liam O’Connor bowled a classic leg-spin to Heat’s skipper. Lynn tried to hit the ball over long-on, but he mistimed the shot, and the ball went straight into the sky at covers region.
Rashid, who was positioned at short cover, ran back towards the ball, dived in front, and took a one-handed blinder to finish Lynn’s innings.
Adam Gilchrist, who was on air, got impressed with Rashid’s effort as he couldn’t stop praising the all-rounder.
“Ohh, sliced, running back, beautifully taken, Rashid Khan kept his eye on the ball and took an excellent catch.”

In the match, Strikers bundled Heat for only 100 runs. In reply, Travis Head-led side chased down the total quickly without losing any wicket.
O’Connor took the most three wickets and was rewarded with the ‘Player of the Match’ award.
