West Indies Legends reveal their squad for Road Safety World Series 2020

The much-anticipated Road Safety World Series will begin from March 7, and the series opener will be played between Sachin Tendulkar-led India Legends and Brian Lara-led West Indies Legends. Recently, the Tendulkar-led side was revealed, and now the squad of West Indies Legends is out.

Apart from Lara, the likes of Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Ramnaresh Sarwan, and Darren Ganga are in the squad.

Former Caribbean skipper Carl Hooper is also included in the side, which consists of cricket icons. Ridley Jacobs will keep the wickets, while Samuel Badree, Suleiman Benn, will exhibit their spinning talent.

Yohan Blake – a Jamaican sprinter who is the second-fastest man in the world after his fellow countryman Usain Bolt – will also showcase his cricketing skills. Blake won gold at the 100m event in the 2011 World Championships and became the youngest sprinter to achieve the feat.

The Road Safety series is a five-nation tournament that will feature some of the biggest names in cricket from India, Australia, Sri Lanka, South Africa, and West Indies.

A total of eleven matches will be played in this competition, where Wankhede Stadium will host two games, and MCA Stadium in Pune will host four. Similarly, four matches will be played at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, whereas the final will take place at the Brabourne Stadium on March 22.
