Brad Hogg comes up with an interesting reply when asked to pick the best between Virat Kohli and Babar Azam

The comparison between Virat Kohli and Babar Azam keeps on coming from time to time. Ever since Babar started to showcase his talent, he was straightaway compared with the Indian skipper. Some fans say that If Kohli is the best Indian batsman at present, then Babar is best for Pakistan.

Some also believe that Babar should replace England’s Joe Root in the fab four – a list consists of four best batsmen of modern cricket, i.e., Kohli, Steve Smith, Kane Williamson, and Joe Root.

While the debate is still active, a fan asked former Australia spinner Brad Hogg to pick the best between Kohli and Babar.

“@Brad_Hogg how about Babar or Kohli? Who’s better?” asked a fan.

Hogg tried to escape from the question by giving a very diplomatic answer. The veteran spinner said that both the players lead the way for their own country. He also specified that it would be great to watch both the players play on the same field in a Test match. Hogg termed Kohli as the senior while Babar as the junior.

“That’s Putting me in Dangerous territory. Who is it? Both lead the way for there country. It will be a great Test Match when you can watch both of them play on the same field together. Let’s appreciate the best at work. Kohli the senior Babar the junior,” the 49-year-old tweeted.

Babar averages 45 in Test cricket, 54 in ODIs, and 50.72 in T20Is, while Kohli averages 53.62 in red-ball format, 59.33 in ODIs, and 50.80 in T20 internationals.
