The quarantine period can be boring, but Mitchell McClenaghan knows how to make it interesting. He did a question and answer session with fans on Twitter.

Mitch is currently on 14-day self-isolation after returning from Pakistan. His wife Georgia England has gone to her parents’ house so McClenaghan decided to spend some time interacting with fans, on Monday.

The New Zealand pacer has been coming to India for a while now, as he is part of the Mumbai Indians squad (MI). A fan kept it in mind and asked Mitch about his favourite team in IPL other than MI.

Soon, McClenaghan came out with hilarious response to the fan’s query and said the team of umpires in IPL. The 33-year-old on his official Twitter handle wrote, “Umpires.”

By responding to the fan’s query, he left everyone in laughter.

McClenaghan is quite a successful bowler in the Indian Premier League as he has grabbed a total of 71 wickets in his 56 games with one four-wicket haul. He has also been a part of the Rohit Sharma-led side that became IPL champions in 2015, 2017 and 2019.

The Kiwi seamer’s best season came in 2015 when he grabbed 18 wickets in his 12 outings for MI. In that season, he was picked as the replacement for injured Corey Anderson in the squad, and the rest is history.
