Amid lockdown due to Coronavirus pandemic, many former and current cricketers are spending time on social media platforms to engage with their fans and followers. In the process, they are answering queries posted by fans, revealing their favourite activities, updating followers about how they are following the lockdown, and picking their all-time teams as well.

Recently, legendary Aussie spinner Shane Warne came up with his all-time XI of South Africa and Sri Lanka. Now, former Indian opener and the highest scorer in the domestic circuit, Wasim Jaffer has also revealed his all-time ODI team.

For the openers, Jaffer went with the batting phenom and one of the greatest cricketers, Sachin Tendulkar. He picked another class player Rohit Sharma as Tendulkar’s partner.

For the number three and number four positions, Jaffer picked West Indies legend Sir Vivian Richards and current Indian team skipper Virat Kohli. He also selected South Africa’s genius batsman AB de Villiers in the batting line-up.

When it comes to allrounder, Jaffer went with 2019 World Cup hero Ben Stokes. He picked Australia’s Shane Warne or Pakistan’s Saqlain Mushtaq as his spinner.

Among fast bowlers, Jaffer went with West Indies legend Joel Garner, former Australia speedster Glenn McGrath and ex-Pakistan captain Wasim Akram. Surprisingly, no Indian bowlers were selected by Jaffer in his all-time ODI team.

Jaffer’s other unexpected move was to pick two-time world cup winning captain Ricky Ponting as the 12th man.

Here is Wasim Jaffer’s all-time ODI team:

Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit Sharma, Viv Richards, Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Ben Stokes, MS Dhoni (c/wk), Wasim Akram, Shane Warne/Saqlain Mushtak, Joel Garner, Glenn McGrath, Ricky Ponting (12th man).
