Australian cricket great Shane Warne has made a sensational admission that he still cares about his ex-girlfriend and Hollywood actress Elizabeth Hurley and feels ‘quite sad’ about their breakup.

Warne and Liz Hurley dated for three years between 2010-2013. They even exchanged the rings in 2011. However, things didn’t go the way they wanted to as the pair separated just after a short-lived romance.

Recently, while speaking for a six-part series ‘A Week with Warnie’ with Fox Sports, Warne bared his heart out about his prolonged feelings for the British star. The Aussie spin wizard said that he is ‘quite sad’ that his relationship with Liz Hurley is over, but he still cares about her deeply.

Warne also said that when Liz Hurley first came to Australia, they had been seeing each other for about six months. Warne didn’t introduce the gorgeous diva to his children until he thought their relationship was real, and he believed it had a future.

The 50-year-old further said that it wasn’t just a bit of fun and he was serious about her. After six months, when Warne finally made Liz Hurley meet his children in Australia, their meeting became an ‘absolute circus’.

In the same conversation, Warne even admitted that he regrets cheating on his wife-of-10-years, Simone Callahan, with Liz Hurley.

Wane and Liz Hurley first got together in late 2010 before the legendary spinner popped the question to the Austin Powers actress in September 2011.

They split little more than two years later after struggling to manage their long-distance romance.

Warne primarily resides in Melbourne, while Liz Hurley splits her time between a home in London and her estate in rural England.
