An integral element of India’s potent pace attack, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, has been instrumental for India with both white-ball and the red-ball since making his debut in 2012.
However, it is his prowess in the limited-overs format, which has helped him gain prominence at the international level.
The Bhuvi-Jasprit Bumrah pair has been undisputedly one of the best produced by India in coloured clothing.
Bhuvi initially rose to stardom after making the new ball talk with both swing and seam. During the next half of his career, the UP bowler gained a substantial amount of pace and found utilities at the death.
Known for his lethal yorkers, the ‘King of Knuckle ball’ has named the Bollywood actor he would want to play in his biopic, and it is none other than Rajkumar Rao.
“Once somebody suggested that Rajkummar Rao has a lot of similarities with me in terms of physical appearance. So he could play my role in my biopic,” Bhuvi said in a webinar organised by GainAccess Sports & Entertainment and SportzPower.
Hit Bollywood actor and National Award winner Rao is renowned for his roles in Newton, Shahid, Kai Po Che, and Trapped, where he provided the audience with some thrilling performances.
Then, Bhuvi went on to register how he has turned into a calm and composed character over the years. He also named the changes which he has undergone as a person, during his journey since 2012.
“When you are young, you just cannot think anything beyond cricket. But as you grow older, you get to learn that cricket is just a part of your journey,” he said.
The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) retained bowler even shared his desire to open an academy in his hometown in Meerut.
“I want to open an academy in Meerut because it has given me so much. I just want to give it back to the people over there. That is something I am going to do for sure,” Bhuvi concluded.
