Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) flamboyant number three batsman, Suresh Raina, was back donning the traditional yellows of the franchise, on Tuesday.
The explosive southpaw looked at his best while wearing his new jersey, new shoes and new pads, gearing up for his training session.
Post lockdown, ‘Chinna Thala’ was seen practising in the nets in Ghaziabad along with Rishabh Pant. A few hits down the ground went on to display his majestic touch, showing no rust accumulated with the prolonged COVID-19 break.
‘You can’t miss determination, so Let’s get back to the practice & make this week amazing! Smiling face with sunglassesCricket bat and ball,” Raina captioned his post.

It was only a few days back when India and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli shared a sneak peek of his new kit.
Both Virat and Raina have engaged in a game of cat and mouse for all-time leading run-scorer in the tournament.
Currently, ‘King Kohli’ is the leading run-scorer in the IPL with as many as 5412 runs to his name in 177 games. Only a few steps behind is Raina with 5368 runs in 193 games.
It will be interesting to see who comes out victorious in this year’s race for the all-time leading run-scorer. Kohli has represented the same franchise since the inception of IPL in 2008. He is the only player to achieve this feat.
Also, Raina will have a point or two to prove to the selectors in the national team. He has been out of favour in the Indian side since the 2018 England series.
