Pakistan cricketer Yasir Shah has been booked in a serious case for allegedly aiding in the rape and harassment of a 14-year-old minor girl. The First Information Report (FIR) was registered at Shalimar police station in Islamabad on December 19 by the girl’s aunt.

In the FIR, the girl has stated that Yasir’s friend Farhan had allegedly raped her at gunpoint and then filmed the act. The girl has accused Yasir of threatening her with severe consequences if she went to the authorities and spoke about the incident.

“Yasir Shah said that he was a very influential person and that he knew a high-ranking official. Yasir Shah and Farhan make videos and rape underage girls,” the girl has stated in the FIR, as reported by geo.tv.

The case was registered against Shah and his friend, Farhan, under sections 292-B and 292-C (child pornography) and 376 (punishment for rape) of the Pakistan Penal Code. Reportedly, the incident is alleged to have taken place on August 14 this year. No arrests have been made in the case yet.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has also issued a statement in response to the entire incident. The apex Pakistan cricket board said: “The PCB is presently gathering information at its end and will only offer a comment when in possession of complete facts.”

Yasir, who has played 46 Tests for Pakistan, managing to take 235 wickets, has not made any comment on the situation.
