Opening batter Mayank Agarwal has joined the Indian squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against West Indies after several positive COVID-19 results.
Shikhar Dhawan, Navdeep Saini, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shreyas Iyer all returned positive results in the COVID-19 testing. Apart from the players, coaches T. Dilip and B. Lokesh, and massage therapist Rajeev Kumar have also been tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
All players and coaches to have returned positive results will stay in isolation until making a complete recovery.
Mayank is the only player to have been added to the ODI squad.
The West Indies tour of India is scheduled to start on Sunday, February 6, with a three-game ODI series. The 50-overs leg will be followed by a T20I series between February 16 and 20.
