Former India captain and the ex-BCCI President Sourav Ganguly recently left his fans in excitement by posting a cryptic tweet hinting about his return to the sport in some capacity.
Ganguly had a video showing him holding his bat and striking some vintage shots in the short clip.

On Tuesday, the surprise came to an end as Ganguly will be returning to his previous camp, Delhi Capitals, for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The Capitals have offered Ganguly the role of the franchise’s new Director of Cricket and he will have to see operations of all three teams under them.
According to several reports, the Prince of Kolkata will also be responsible for affairs of the Dubai Capitals and Pretoria Capitals in the ILT20 and SA T20 leagues which are set to start later this month in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and South Africa respectively.
“Yes, Sourav will be back with Delhi Capitals from this year. The discussions and modalities are over. He has worked with the franchise, shares a good comfort level with owners and if he would have worked in IPL, it would have always been with DC,” a BCCI official was quoted as saying to PTI.
Ganguly was the team mentor of Delhi Capitals during his stint with the franchise in IPL 2019. He left the role after his election as the President of BCCI later in that year.
According to PTI, Delhi Capitals’ recent auction picks had both Ricky Ponting (head coach) and Ganguly’s footprints.
