Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will lock horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 29th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Friday (April 21). While CSK emerged victorious in their last game against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), SRH were handed over a defeat by Mumbai Indians (MI).

Devon Conway scored a brilliant 82 runs off 46 balls for the Chennai-based team in their previous game. Meanwhile, Shivam Dube also hammered a quickfire fifty for his side. Tushar Deshpande was the pick of the bowlers for CSK as he scalped three wickets against RCB. At the same time, no batter managed to score a half-century for SRH in their last match against MI. Although Mayank Agarwal scored a resilient 48 for his team, he failed to get the Hyderabad-based side through in the run chase. Among bowlers, Marco Jansen bagged two scalps for SRH in the first innings.

CSK currently sits at the third spot on the points tally and will aim to move up by defeating Hyderabad on April 21. On the other hand, SRH are at the 9th position and would be eying a comeback against Chennai.

The track at the MA Chidambaram Stadium tends to help the bowlers more, especially spinners. However, the batters can also score big runs if they spend some time in the middle. The due factor will come into play as well.
