The 35th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 saw Gujarat Titans (GT) defeat Mumbai Indians (MI) by huge 55 runs on Tuesday (April 25). The conclusion of the match also marked the halfway stage of the 16th edition of the league.

Following the victory over MI, Gujarat moved to second place in the points table. Notably, GT have won five of the seven games that they have played in the tournament so far. Meanwhile, the top position remained unchanged, with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) retaining the no. 1 spot. Although Chennai also won five matches and lost on two occasions, they finished the halfway stage ahead of Gujarat due to their better net run rate.

Similarly, Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are on the third and fourth spots, with four wins each. On the other hand, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) sits at the fifth position with the same victory count as RR and LSG but lesser run rate.

In the meantime, Punjab Kings (PBKS), MI, and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) occupy the sixth, seventh and eighth positions, with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Delhi Capitals (DC) sitting on the ninth and tenth spots.
