In a thrilling encounter in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Delhi Capitals (DC) defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 4 wickets at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

The Knight Riders were off to a shaky start after being asked to bat as they lost early wickets, with Litton Das and Venkatesh Iyer both departing cheaply. However, Jason Roy’s knock of 43 runs off 39 balls helped the team to put a decent total on the board.

Andre Russell‘s 38 runs off 31 balls were crucial for KKR as they managed to score 127 runs in 20 overs. Ishant Sharma, Anrich Nortje, and Axar Patel were the pick of the bowlers for Delhi Capitals as they took two wickets each.

In response, the hosts started off well, with skipper David Warner leading from the front with a knock of 57 runs off 41 balls. However, after losing a few wickets in quick succession, the team found themselves in a spot of bother.

But Manish Pandey and Axar held their nerve and scored crucial runs to guide Delhi Capitals to a much-needed victory. Varun Chakravarthy, Anukul Roy, and Nitish Rana picked up two wickets each for Kolkata Knight Riders, but it was not enough to stop Delhi Capitals from winning the match.
