Rajasthan Royals (RR) acquired the number one position after registering a comfortable victory against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Thursday.

Batting first, the Royals got off to a flying start with opener Yashasvi Jaiswal smashing 77 runs off just 43 balls, including 8 fours and 4 sixes. Wicketkeeper-batter Jos Buttler scored 27 runs off 21 balls, while Dhruv Jurel chipped in with 34 runs off just 15 balls. Further, Devdutt Padikkal also contributed with 27 runs off 13 balls as the Royals posted a total of 202/5 in their 20 overs.

In response, the Super Kings got off to a slow start, with opener Devon Conway scoring just 8 runs off 16 balls. Ruturaj Gaikwad contributed well with 47 runs off 29 balls, while Shivam Dube smashed a quick-fire 52 runs off 33 balls, including 4 sixes. Moeen Ali and Ravindra Jadeja also chipped in with 23 runs each. However, the Super Kings fell short of the target by 32 runs, managing to score only 170/6 in their 20 overs.

For Rajasthan Royals, Adam Zampa was the pick of the bowlers, taking 3 wickets for 22 runs in his 3 overs. Ravichandran Ashwin also bowled well, taking 2 wickets for 35 runs in his 4 overs.
