Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will square off against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 47th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Thursday (May 4). Notably, SRH and KKR met each other once in the IPL 2023, where Hyderabad emerged victorious by 23 runs in a high-scoring affair.

As far as the previous games of the two teams are concerned, SRH defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) in their last game, whereas KKR suffered a loss against Gujarat Titans (GT). Rahmanullah Gurbaz was the only batter for the Kolkata-based team to hit a fifty. He scored quickfire 81 runs off just 39 deliveries for his team. However, KKR bowlers failed to defend the target and ended up on the losing side. At the same time, Abhishek Sharma shined for SRH in their victory over DC, scoring 67 runs off 36 balls. Heinrich Klaasen also chipped in with fiery 53 runs in the contest.

SRH currently are on the ninth spot of the IPL 2023 points table and will look to move up by winning against Kolkata. On the other hand, KKR sits at the eighth position and will aim to make a comeback as well.
