The Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) has announced the India A squad for the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023, which will be held in Sri Lanka from July 13th to July 23rd. This exciting tournament will feature eight Asian nations competing in a 50-over format.

The 15-member India A squad, selected by the Junior Cricket Committee, will be led by Yash Dhull, who captained the U19 World Cup-winning team. Abhishek Sharma has been appointed as the deputy captain. The squad includes several talented young players such as Sai Sudharsan, Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel, and Rajvardhan Hangargekar.

The tournament will feature eight Asian countries divided into two groups. India A has been placed in Group B along with Nepal, UAE A and Pakistan A. Host nation Sri Lanka A, Bangladesh A, Afghanistan A, and Oman A are placed in Group A.

India A will begin their campaign against UAE A on July 13th, followed by their second match against Pakistan A on July 15th, and their final group stage match against Nepal on July 18th. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals.

The semi-finals of the tournament are scheduled to take place on July 21st, with the final match set to be held on July 23rd to determine the tournament champion.

Sitanshu Kotak has been appointed as the head coach of the India A team for the Asia Cup 2023. Sairaj Bahutule will serve as the bowling coach, and Munish Bali will take on the role of fielding coach. Their expertise and guidance will play a crucial role in shaping the team’s performance during the tournament.
