Cricket enthusiasts worldwide have eagerly awaited the ticketing details for the upcoming 2023 ODI World Cup, hosted exclusively by India. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has now revealed its plans for ticket sales, along with an important update on the format of entry tickets.

Online Ticket Sales to Begin on August 10:

The BCCI has announced that tickets for the highly-anticipated 2023 ODI World Cup will be available for online purchase starting from August 10. However, the final pricing of the tickets will be determined and confirmed by the individual staging associations.

Ticket Allocations for ICC and BCCI:

Both the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the BCCI are entitled to receive 300 complimentary hospitality tickets for each game of the tournament. Furthermore, the host state must allocate 1295 tickets for league matches and 1355 tickets for India’s matches and the semi-finals to the ICC.

Physical Tickets Instead of E-tickets:

In a significant change, the BCCI has decided to do away with the concept of E-tickets for the 2023 ODI World Cup. Instead, attendees will now be required to possess traditional physical tickets for entry to all the thrilling matches taking place across the country.

Setting Up Ticket Centres for Convenience:

To facilitate this transition, the BCCI is making arrangements to establish seven to eight ticket centres strategically located around the stadiums. These centres will enable fans to conveniently purchase their physical tickets, ensuring a smooth process before they indulge in the cricketing extravaganza.

Ensuring Fair Ticket Distribution:

In addition to the designated quotas, each state association has the option to purchase up to 40 tickets per game, while the ICC’s tour partner can buy 10% of the remaining tickets. This approach aims to ensure fair ticket distribution and cater to the diverse needs of various stakeholders involved in the prestigious cricketing event.

A Historic Host for the 2023 ODI World Cup:

India is all set to host the much-awaited 2023 Cricket World Cup, marking the first time the nation will host the tournament exclusively. The event is scheduled from October 5 to November 19, 2023, and will span across ten venues in India, including Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Dharamsala, Delhi, Chennai, Lucknow, Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Kolkata. Additionally, Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram will host warm-up matches from September 29 to October 3.

Exciting Kick-off Match:

The tournament will start with an enthralling clash between England and New Zealand in Ahmedabad on October 5, setting the stage for an unforgettable cricketing spectacle.

With ticket sales set to begin and the cricketing world buzzing with excitement, fans eagerly anticipate witnessing top teams battle it out for the prestigious 2023 ODI World Cup title on Indian soil.
