The much-anticipated Major League Cricket (MLC) 2023 is set to begin today (July 13), captivating fans with its star-studded T20 league action. With six competitive teams and the involvement of renowned Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise owners, the inaugural edition of the MLC promises to be a thrilling spectacle for cricket enthusiasts around the world.

The six teams participating in the league are the Los Angeles Knight Riders, MI New York, San Francisco Unicorns, Seattle Orcas, Texas Super Kings and Washington Freedom. It’s worth noting that four IPL owners have expanded their footprint into the MLC. The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) group owns the Los Angeles team, the Mumbai Indians (MI) franchise possesses the New York team, the Delhi Capitals (DC) have taken charge of the Seattle Orcas, and the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have extended their brand to the Texas team.

To ensure widespread access for fans, the MLC will be hosted across two venues: the Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas and the Church Street Park in Morrisville, North Carolina. These locations have been meticulously prepared to provide a memorable experience for players and spectators alike.

The tournament opener will witness an electrifying clash between the Texas Super Kings and the LA Knight Riders at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas. The final showdown of the 2023 MLC is scheduled for July 30, where the two best teams will battle it out for championship glory. The playoffs, consisting of the Eliminator and Qualifier 1, will take place on July 27, followed by the Challenger on July 28, offering plenty of high-stakes cricketing action leading up to the grand finale.
