Gautam Gambhir recently surprised many by revealing his two favourite actresses in the entertainment industry. The former India cricketer is known for his reserved demeanour and rarely engages in conversations unrelated to his professional realm. However, Gambhir shed light on his personal preferences and gave his fans a glimpse of his softer side in a candid interview with News18 India.
It is worth mentioning that Gambhir is renowned for his remarkable contributions to Indian cricket and has consistently made the nation proud with his on-field achievements. Besides his cricketing prowess, he also served as the mentor for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) team in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. Additionally, he is a Member of Parliament from Delhi as well.
Although Gambhir typically refrains from discussing matters outside the realm of sports, his interview with News18 India in June showcased a different side of him. During the conversation, he was prompted to reveal his two favourite actresses among a list that included Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma, Deepika Padukone and Parineeti Chopra.

Gautam Gambhir picks Alia Bhatt and Parineeti Chopra as his favourite actresses
Initially hesitant to divulge his preferences, Gambhir eventually admitted that he admired Alia, especially for her role in “Gangubai Kathiawadi”.
Pressed further by the show’s anchor, Amish Devgan, Gambhir was presented with the three remaining options: Anushka, Deepika, and Parineeti. Despite his self-professed limited movie-watching habits, Gambhir chose Parineeti as his second favourite actress. He pointed out her performance in the movie “Kesari” as the reason behind his choice.
On the work front, Gambhir is expected to part ways with LSG for the upcoming IPL season and is likely to join Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). It is worth mentioning that Gambhir had previously led KKR to two title triumphs as the side’s skipper.
